Biography

Joe is the partner in charge of D’Amico Burchfield’s real estate department. Joe has rejoined the firm after 18 years in private practice.  His private practice consisted almost entirely of real estate closings and related transactions. Joe has successfully closed thousands of real estate transactions during his career and is very well respected among his clients, colleagues and peers.  Joe’s knowledge, experience and dedication to the real estate practice was rewarded when he was recruited as President and State Manager of the Rhode Island office of Stewart Title Guarantee Company.  He has also served as Legal Counsel to the Rhode Island Senate’s Corporations Committee. 

Joe brings a professional but down to earth approach to the practice of law.  He enjoys the casual interaction with clients that often occurs during real estate transactions, and prides himself on simplifying a complicated process and relieving the anxiety many clients experience in these transactions. Joe currently resides in Scituate, Rhode Island, and is a proud member of the Potterville Volunteer Fire Department, where he volunteers his time writing grant requests and acting as an administrative assistant to the Chief.
