Biography

Mark Dana is the partner in charge of the Civil Litigation Department at D'Amico · Burchfield. He is lead counsel on all litigated matters. In September 2006, Mark successfully tried a personal injury case which resulted in a verdict totaling $2.8 Million, one of the largest verdicts in Rhode Island History.

Mark has tried more than 100 cases, both civil and criminal. Mark was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Rhode Island from 1988 to 1992. While there, Mark tried to conclusion dozens of capital cases including murders and sexual assault cases with remarkable results.

Mark is considered an excellent trial lawyer by his peers. In 1998 he was awarded the Dorothy Lohmann Community Service Award by the Rhode Island Bar Association for his work with the special needs population. Mark is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, the Rhode Island Trial Lawyers Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association. Additionally, Mark is also a regular legal analyst on Court TV, MSNBC and CNN.
